Ingredients

  • Salt - 10 gms (1 tsp)

  • All purpose flour - 480 gms (4 Cups)

  • Milk Powder - 15 gms (1.5 tbsps)

  • Sugar - 15 gms (1 tbsp)

  • Instant active yeast - 8 gms (2 tsp)

  • Lukewarm Milk - 300 ml (plus 2-3 tbsp)

  • Softened butter - 28 gms (2 tbsp)

Direction

  1. Proof yeast, sugar and lukewarm milk for 10 mins.

  2. Add salt, flour, milk powder and start on low speed. Once everything has come together knead on medium speed for 7 to 8 mins. Add one to two tbsp of water if the dough is dry.

  3. Add the softened butter and knead for another 4 to 5 mins. Dough needs to be smooth.

  4. Place in a greased container for first proofing. Dough needs to double its size.

  5. Once doubled, punch the dough and measure them to divide into 16 equal small portions.

  6. Tuck and roll them into proper shape. Place them in a greased oil container close to each other and prove another 40 to 45 mins for second proofing.

  7. Preheat the oven to 392 F degrees. Bake for 15 to 22 mins.

  8. Remove and rest for 5 to 7 mins. Apply some butter on top of the buns.

  9. Then transfer on to wire rack for it to cool completely.
