Vellai Panniyaram (வெள்ளை பணியாரம்)

Ingredients -

  • Raw Rice - 1 1/4 cups

  • Idli Rice - 1/4 cup

  • Urad dhal - 1/4 cup

  • salt - to taste

  • Oil - to fry

Directions -

  1. Soak both rices and urad dal for 1 hour.

  2. Grind the rice and dal to a smooth consistency by adding water little by little in mixie or grinder.

  3. Before frying add needed salt.

  4. Heat oil and pour one laddle of batter at a time.

  5. Paniyaram will immediately rise. Give it a min and flip sides immediately. Fry for another 45 secs. Do not let it get crispy

  6. Remove and serve hot with milagai chutney or thakkali thovaiyal
