Tandoori Pulav

Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Cooked basmati rice

  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp - Shahi Jeera

  • 1 no - Green Chili

  • 1 no - Bay leaf

  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder

  • 2 tsp - Tandoori masala powder (Everest)

  • 1 tsp - Kashmiri red chili powder

  • 1 tsp - Garam masala

  • 2 nos - Garlic (minced or grated)

  • 1 - Tomato (pureed)

  • 2 tbsp - Ghee

  • 1 cup - Cubed bell peppers (multi color)

  • 1/4 cup - Peas

  • 1/2 - Red onion

  • 10 to 12 sprigs - Cilantro

Preparation

  1. Heat oil and add the cumin and shahi jeera. Let it splutter.

  2. Add slit green chili and bay leaf. Saute for 30 secs.

  3. Add sliced onion, bell peppers and peas. Saute for 5 to 6 mins on low med heat.

  4. Add grated garlic and saute for few mins.

  5. Add pureed tomato and the powders. Stir for 2 to 3 mins.

  6. Add ghee, salt, cilantro and cooked rice. Mix well until the rice is coated.

  7. Serve hot!
